Owen Barry Sheepskin Zip Front Gilet - Tate

This British made shearling gilet more than just another “bodywarmer”. Of course, you want a gilet to keep you warm and protected, but surely you want it to look handsome and contemporary as well?

That is why we have designed the Tate and put so much attention into the finishing details.

Hand-cut and made in our own Somerset factory.

Available in 2 lengths. Regular and long. Long is plus 2” (5cms) longer, there is no extra charge. Model is 6’ 3” and is wearing Regular length.

The Tate design has a slightly longer back giving protection & warmth around the kidneys & lower back whilst keeping the styling looking younger & more contemporary.

The slimline cut is perfect if you want to wear it under a jacket for extra warmth.

The neat knitted woollen stand collar is another good-looking addition, it obviously offers protection against the weather, but sits attractively flattering your neckline.

We know you are a busy man, so we have added large easy-access pockets, that sit flat against the tummy to securely hold keys, phone, cards etc.   

The full-length zip is double-ended, meaning for ease of movement you can open from the bottom or the top, one half is open whilst the other stays protected – clever.

Tate is offered in two practical and timeless colours;

The Hurricane Brown distressed napalan sheepskin, is our bestselling colour, it has lightly tipped toning soft pin curl wool – super practical, wipe clean with rustic good looks.

The Cromita Grey Napalan sheepskin is super tactile it has a light leather napalan finish and a short soft pin curl wool, it is more man about town than its above “sibling” but equally as practical and superb for wearing with a business suit or more dressy attire.

Both gilets offer lightweight warmth and protection in the depths of winter but are also ideal to throw on when there is still a nip in the air and outside chores need doing.
