Sheepskin Storm Flap Hat | McGrath by Owen Barry
Our iconic McGrath hat - this style has been a best seller in the OB range for over 25 years.
It is a Classic design that fits well, benefiting from easy tieback trapper ears that close firmly under the chin, McGrath has a clean-cut, that appeals to many, this understated look goes well with both robust outdoor wear but also, can easily be worn around town.
As with all our products McGrath is 100% manufactured by our team of craftspeople here in Somerset from carefully provenanced sheepskins, 100% a byproduct of the food industry, from skins that we have hand selected from European LWG tanneries, this ensures that these skins are a minimum of silver level rating, assuring you of the highest ethical and environmental standards across all aspects of our production.
Shown here in our soft but hardy bestselling Hurricane brown sheepskin with the classic snowcap wool finish, McGrath offers all-around warmth, weather protection and style. We also manufacture a selection of sheepskin jackets, gilets & fingerless gloves in this skins, why not check them out?
Our standard hat size is 58cms, 58cms is measured around the circumference of your head, just above your ears and across the forehead, the “natural” position for a hat to sit. We find this to be a universally easy unisex fit, (many of our hat styles are design to appeal to a unisex audience). All sheepskin has an amount of natural stretch and elasticity, also of course, if there is a fair amount of wool, this will bed down a little over time.
